Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to three medical calls and five fire calls.

May 21

Firefighters at about 2:20 p.m. responded to a possible grass fire near Mile 15 East End Road and a wildland fire on Sheep Drive off West Katamar Avenue in the Diamond Ridge area. The East End Road fire was determined to be a controlled burn with a permit and the owner attending with a water supply. Alaska Division of Forestry and KES responded to the Katamar Avenue fire and determined it was under control.
