Long-time Homer resident Custer John Bolton, 81, died peacefully at South Peninsula Hospital on Sunday, May 17, 2009. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Livia Bolton, and grandson Orson Bolton, of Trieste, Italy, and by a large number of devoted friends locally and worldwide. A celebration of Custer's life will be held some time in July when his family is able to travel to Homer. A full obituary will follow at a later date.
