Museum faces elements
The Pratt Museum introduces its Facing the Elements exhibit with a reception at 7 p.m. June 16 in the forest amphitheater featuring “Animalogy,” a woodwind quintet composed for the Homer community. Special guests include composer Adrienne Albert and Carery Nadeau of the American Composers Forum.
Video games take to theater
Homer Theatre holds its first video game tournament Saturday. Contestants will play on the big screen with big sounds. Registration fee is $16; there is a limit of 60 participants. Call 235-1969 for more information.
Sun and music mix in Seldovia
Seldovia’s sixth annual Summer Solstice Music Festival features emcee Canadian comedian Al Simmons. David Francey will headline Friday with Canadian folk music. Alaska performers include Ann Pence, Rick Brooks, McCoy and Millen, Las Calabasitas and Billy Goat.
