Students enjoy Eddie Wood lessons
The students and staff of Susan B. English School in Seldovia would like to thank the Bunnell Street Arts Center for their support of the Artists in the School Program. This year, we were able to welcome percussionist Eddie Wood to our school for two weeks of workshops using our new percussion instruments.
The workshops were scheduled during the Small Schools Academy, which brought high school students from Port Graham, Tyonek and Hope. Thus, we were able to share the privilege of working with Mr. Wood with other small school students within the Kenai Peninsula School District.
Bunnell Street Arts Center's support for this program helps ensure a wider exposure to the arts for students in all of the communities on the Kenai Peninsula. A special thanks to Asia Freeman for her personal effort and support for this program. Also, our heartfelt appreciation for the effort put in by the students, parents, staff and the maestro himself, Eddie Wood.
