Youth soccer starts

Summer recreational and instructional soccer for kids age 3 to 12 begins June 7.

Little Feet soccer for children age 3-5 will be 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the recreational program for youth ages 6-12 will be held those same afternoons. There will be two sessions for both programs, June 7-30 at West Homer Elementary School and July 5-28 at Homer Middle School. Open soccer and league games for kids over age 10 will be held on Wednesdays. Ages 6-8 play 1-2:15 p.m., ages 8-10 play 2:15-3:30 p.m. and ages 10-12 play 3:45-5 p.m. Cost is $65 per session for recreational soccer and $45 per session for Little Feet.

Competitive travel team practices for boys and girls ages 11-15 are already underway, but new players are welcome. The Soccer Association of Homer website lists practice times and manager names.
