Justin Allan Reekie, the son of Todd and Shawn Reekie, has been recognized by The National Society of High School Scholars, an honor reserved for students who have achieved superior academic excellence. A Connections student, Reekie just completed his sophomore year.

Membership in NSHSS entitles Justin and other qualified students to a wide variety of benefits, including scholarship opportunities, academic competition, free events, member-only resources, publications, participation in programs offered by education partners, online forums, personalized recognition items and publicity honors.

"Justin is now a member of a unique community of scholars — a community that represents our very best hope for the future," said NSHSS founder and chairman Claes Nobel, a senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes.

Justin, who was injured during batting practice earlier this year, is scheduled to complete his high school studies and ready to enroll in college courses by the end of his junior year.
