Well, here we are already in the month of June. If my memory serves me right, wasn’t it just last week we had snow in our back yards. Where does that time go? Flag Day is June 14. Flag Day is a day for all Americans to celebrate and show respect for our flag, its designers and makers. Be safe out there.
Anchor Point Chamber of Commerce Fourth of July is right around the corner.
Anchor Point Senior Citizen Center: We have bingo on Fridays starting at 7 p.m. Thursday night dinners are served at 5:30 p.m. Price for members is $5; nonmembers, $7.
Anchor Point Library: Hours for the library are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.
VFW Post 10221: The department convention is June 7-11. This year it will be held in Soldotna at Post 10046. Due to the convention, the meeting day has been changed to June 18. June 24 is the next steak night, from 6-8 p.m. Karaoke with Tom starts at 9 p.m. The monthly fish fry is from 4-6 p.m. June 25.
Community news: Volunteers are needed to water the front lawn at Chapman School. You will need to bring your own hose. Anyone interested in this, is asked to call Deanna Chesser at 235-4955.
