Orthodox church consecrates first for Homer

By Naomi Klouda
Special to the Homer News

The All Saints of America Antiochian Orthodox Mission will be consecrated Sunday morning, in a celebration that marks the end of an 11-year journey to get the church built. The church, capped by a golden cupola, is located at the top of East Hill Road off Woodman Lane.

Father Paul Jaroslaw seems especially proud that it is done without debt at a time when Homer real estate prices still escalate. "We don't have a mortgage," he said.
