Homer's generosity will help grad

As a 2011 high school graduate, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Drew Scalzi Memorial Maritime Scholarship Fund at the Homer Foundation for the generous donation. This scholarship awarded me $500 and will help me begin my college career. I also would like to thank Homer Electric Association for its generous scholarship of $2,000. Last, but not least, I would like to thank the Kachemak Bay Lions Club for awarding me the $500 Mary Ann Scruggs Memorial Scholarship.

I am so thankful to live in a community where the high school graduates are so well supported. Thank you, community of Homer, for your generosity.
