Homer Alaska - Letters

I recently learned that we can now recycle aluminum pet food cans at the Homer landfill facility. There was initially some confusion as to whether or not the thicker grade aluminum of pet food cans could be recycled with the thinner aluminum beverage cans, but apparently it has been determined that it is A-OK to do so and we can now throw our rinsed aluminum pet food cans into the aluminum beverage can bin.

If all the pet owners in the area were to start recycling aluminum cans, that would make a huge difference. So rinse 'em, recycle 'em and rejoice in knowing that you are doing the right thing.
