Tickets for Emmylou Harris and Clave's summer music fest are on sale at Amped Café, Homer Bookstore, KBBI, Solstice Music and on the Web at www.ticketweb.com. Harris opens the festival July 8 at the Ninilchik Fairgrounds. Bands playing July 9 will be announced. July 8 tickets are $35 for KBBI members, $37 for nonmembers; July 9 tickets are $20 for KBBI members, $22 for nonmembers.
The Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center is hosting Alaska Heritage Day with author Lisa Augustine reading from and signing copies of her book, "The Dragline Kid," published by Hardscratch Press, at 3 p.m. Friday. Augustine's writing focuses on growing up in Kenai in the 1940s and 1950s.
"Three Tall Women," by Edward Albee, will be performed at Pier One Theatre June 10 to 18. It is directed by Mary Langham and stars Nancy Chastain, Jennifer Norton and Claire O'Donnell.
