Engagements Elizabeth Marie Riedel and Joshua Adam Garvey

Elizabeth Marie Riedel and Joshua Adam Garvey will marry at 5 p.m. June 19, 2010, at the Homer Nazarene Church. Elizabeth is the daughter of Anni Griffin Reed and Steve Riedel. Joshua is the son of Larry and Karen Garvey. Ten years after graduating from Homer High School, the couple were reunited through work at Land's End Resort. Liz holds a bachelor of arts degree in theology and psychology and has traveled in the Middle East and Mexico as a missionary. She works for The Center - South Peninsula Behavioral Health Services. Josh has a bachelor's degree in business management and a master of arts degree in finance and accounting. He works as chief financial officer at Land's End. In the words of Elias Garvey, their story is "a beautiful epic adventure, a romantic comedy — in short, a love story."
