The Homer Jackpot Halibut Derby continues through Sept. 30. Fishermen must have derby tickets to enter their catch. Tickets are $10.

"I would like to get out to all anglers here that we still have a two fish (halibut) limit here in Homer. This is very important because a lot of people think there is only a one-fish limit," said Paula Frisinger, derby coordinator. Frisinger was referring to a one-fish limit in Southeast Alaska.
