With beautiful weather with enthusiastic hikers we had a very successful Trails Day 2002.
Diamond Creek, Grace Ridge, Coalition, Humpy Creek and Alpine trails have all been brushed and cleared by volunteers from the community for the enjoyment of all.
Trails Day 2002 has proven how much can be accomplished when we all pull together.
Thanks go out to all the volunteers and the VIP trail crews. Also thanks to Homer Ocean Charters, Smoke Wagon, Bay Excursions, MK Logistics and Mako's Water Taxi for providing transportation and donating the $10 round-trip fares to Friends of Kachemak Bay State Park. A very worthy cause in these times of diminished state support for our parks.
