Corrections
In his Point of View in last week's Homer News, Doug Stark incorrectly stated that the city code would prohibit a building larger than allowed by the size cap from being rebuilt if it were to burn down. Stark contacted the Homer News to clarify that the language of the code in fact implies that it could be rebuilt if completed within a one-year time frame.

Due to reporters' errors, a mountain was incorrectly identified as Poot Peak in last week's paper, runner Aleta Phelps was incorrectly identified in a photo on the sports page, runner Tracy Asselin's time should have read 45:57, and former Homer News Managing Editor Steve Rinehart's name was misspelled.

Two names were misspelled in a birth announcement for Piper Isolde Kassouni. Her father's name is Dicran "Beezer" Kassouni and her grandfather's name is Patrick Bergmann. A corrected announcement is reprinted in this week's paper.

Finally, in a story in the June 5, 2003, Homer News, the number of local spas was incorrectly reported. Our apologies to the Alaska Waterfront Homer Inn and Spa on Ocean Drive Loop.
