Concerned citizens recently attended meetings about our community drug problem. My deep appreciation goes to those who organized the meetings, to the professionals who delivered much information and to those who are still hard at work on the issue.
Because most of us care about the effect of illegal drugs on our community, I hope that we continue to pursue the cause of educating the public about this devastating epidemic. I hope that there are brave souls in the Anchor Point and Homer area who are bold enough to stand tall and make a big difference.
Though it is “unpopular,” or even dangerous, to give information to the police about the identities of drug pushers, please do it. Be willing to testify against drug dealers in court. It does take courage. For all those who have not been touched by this problem, please be supportive of the campaign until our area is truly drug free. Thank you very much.
