Pet of the Week
photo: towncrier

Buddy
Born without a tail, Buddy has found other ways to express himself. His big brown eyes tell his tale of two cities: he supposedly had a family in Anchorage, but was found wandering along the Homer Spit Road, looking very lost. He's a tail-less puppy who just wants a new family to accept him as he is. Buddy is about 8 months old, has floppy ears and is medium brown with white socks on his front paws and a bit of white on his chest. He is housetrained and gets along well with kids, cats and other dogs (even those with tails). He has been neutered and is a really nice guy.

If you'd like to adopt a pet, call or stop by the Animal Shelter on the Bypass across from the post office. The shelter is open seven days a week, 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Call 235-3141, or visit the shelter's Web site at www.homeranimalshelter.com.
