If the Alaska Department of Fish and Game does not support recreational halibut sport fishing by opposing the 50 percent reduction of the daily bag limit of halibut from two fish to one fish now proposed by the commercial halibut industry and the National Marine Fisheries Service, halibut fishing tourism will vanish in Alaska.
