Alaska Bureau of Wildlife Enforcement troopers cited a 40-year-old Colorado woman for failing to log a king salmon on her sport fishing license immediately upon harvest in the Anchor River.
June 20
A person at 9:47 p.m. made a 911 call of an assault between two drunk men and a drunk woman in the Cohoe Campground in Anchor Point. The suspects drove away in a black Ford extended-cab pickup truck and were followed by a dark green Ford pickup. The two men were described as being in their mid 50s. One man was described as 6-feet tall and wore glasses and the other wore a greet T-shirt and a baseball cap. The woman was described as being in her 40s with injuries to the left side of the face. She also had a red dog with her. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call troopers at 235-8239.
Troopers at 3:20 p.m. went to a car crash near Mile 127.5 Sterling Highway. Troopers allege a Chugiak man driving north in a 1994 Ford truck tried to turn left onto a side street when a Homer woman driving north in a 1997 Ford van tried to pass several cars and hit the man’s truck, causing it to go into the southbound ditch. Troopers cited the woman for failure to take due care to avoid a collision. Passengers in her car reported feeling soreness. All parties wore seat belts.
June 24
A Ninilchik man at about 6:30 a.m. reported a driver in a 1993 Dodge car was slumped over the wheel and the car blocked a lane on Shady Drive. Troopers contacted the driver, a 22-year-old Wasilla man, and arrested him for driving under the influence. He was taken to the Homer Jail.
June 25
ABWE troopers cited a 38-year-old Anchorage man for taking an overlimit of razor clams from the Ninilchik beach.
ABWE troopers cited an 18-year-old Anchorage man and a 50-year-old Eagle River man for sport fishing in closed waters on Deep Creek and seized a king salmon from each man.
