Extra, extra, read all about it: Wild cat stalks the halls of the Homer Animal Shelter. Well, OK, maybe not so wild. But, Xena is a full-blooded Maine Coon and, well, rather large and wild looking. That is, until she gives a little meow and rubs up against your leg and you fall in love with this 3year-old, spayed girl. Xena is as gentle and loving as they come. Come in and meet our new "star attraction." To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the Public Works off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, noon5 p.m. Call 235-3141 for information. See shelter's video at www.youtube.com.
