June 17

A woman at 9:15 a.m. reported vandalism to a Pioneer Avenue business.

An officer at 9 a.m. reported finding a wind surf board on the Homer Spit beach.

A man at 5:37 p.m. reported a person trying to snag fish at the Nick Dudiak Fishing Lagoon on the Spit.

June 18

A Federal Aviation Administration official at 1:44 p.m. asked police to contact a person flying a large kite at a high elevation that caused an aviation hazard. Police contacted a person on the beach near Mariner Park.

Police at 8:45 p.m. stopped a 27-year-old woman driving on Kachemak Drive and arrested her for driving under the influence.

Police at 10:50 p.m. stopped a 58-year-old woman driving on East End Road and arrested her for driving under the influence.

June 19

A man at 2:21 a.m. reported shots being fired near his Fireweed Avenue home.

Police at 4:25 a.m. issued a summons to a 27-year-old man for violating conditions of release.

A person at 5:34 a.m. reported a domestic disturbance at a Main Street address. Police responded.

A woman at 10:45 a.m. reported a black dog has been running loose in the Thompson Drive area and getting into a chicken coop and garbage.

A man at 12:15 p.m. reported theft of pallets from an Ice Dock road business.

Police at 9:06 p.m. arrested a 27-year-old man for driving while license suspended.

June 20

Police at 12:48 a.m. contacted a 29-year-old woman on Lee Drive and arrested her for DUI.

An Alaska State Parks employee at 10:51 a.m. reported a traffic hazard with people taking photos of a bull moose on East End Road.

Police at 11:06 a.m. arrested a 50-year-old man on an outstanding warrant at a Mission Road address.

A man at 3:21 p.m. flagged down an officer at Pioneer Avenue to report a man he thought had a revoked license drove his daughter's car. Police contacted the suspect, a 29-year-old man, and charged him with driving while license revoked.

A person at 4:53 p.m. made a 911 call of a man at a Woodside Avenue business wearing a handgun on his hip. Police contacted the man and advised him to stow his gun in his car.

A woman at 8:28 p.m. reported a stranded sea otter on the Spit beach. Police notified the Alaska SeaLife Center.

June 21

A woman at 2:59 a.m. flagged down an officer on Pioneer Avenue to report losing money between two bars.

A caller at 6:09 p.m. reported illegal fishing on the Spit.

A man at 7:25 p.m. reported graffiti painted at a Greatland Street business.

Police at 10:36 p.m. contacted a woman who said she fell on a knife in the woods.

June 22

A caller at 2:03 p.m. reported a man violated a restraining order. Police charged a 44-year-old man with two counts of violating a restraining order.

A caller at 3:55 p.m. reported receiving terroristic threats over the phone.

A man at 7:30 p.m. reported a bicycle stolen from the baseball field at Karen Hornaday Park.

June 23

A woman at 12:55 p.m. reported gas stolen from a log splitter and an ATV at a Jennifer Place home.

June 24

A man at 9 a.m. reported his handicapped parking placard was stolen from his car the night before.

A woman at 3:06 p.m. reported a counterfeit bill was passed at a Pioneer Avenue store.

A woman at 6:59 p.m. reported a person driving an ATV in Mariner Park lagoon.

A man at 7:04 p.m. reported a person took items from a Greatland Street business and then fled on foot.

June 25

Police at 2:39 a.m. stopped a 23-year-old man on East Hill Road and arrested hi for DUI.

A woman at 11:39 a.m. reported she picked up a tent that was rolling down the Spit Road.

Several 911 callers at 8:15 p.m. reported a car crash with injuries on East End Road. Police and EMTs responded.

Police at 10:29 p.m. arrested a 36-year-old man for DUI.

June 26

Police at 3:28 a.m. contacted a 20-year-old woman driving on East Hill Road and issued her a summons for operating a vehicle after minor consuming alcohol.

A woman at 1:15 p.m. reported possibly being shot at while riding her bike on East End Road. Police determined construction workers in the air had been using a pneumatic nail gun that sounded like gunfire.

A caller at 2:08 p.m. reported three young children getting into vehicles on Danview Avenue. The children said they had been locked out of their home.

Several callers at 4:55 p.m. reported a person speeding on a dirt bike and scaring walkers on the Spit beach.

A person at 7:42 p.m. made a 911 call of a car being driven erratically. Police stopped the driver on Ben Walter's Lane and arrested a 43-year-old woman for DUI.

A woman at 7:58 p.m. made a 911 call that her Kachemak Drive neighbor shot her goat, brought her a bone from the goat and tried to run her over.

A woman at 10:53 p.m. reported a black bear attacked her chicken coop on Kachemak Way. Police responded and found a bear in a tree above the coop.
