Breakfast helps support kids
The Homer Boys and Girls Club is getting ready for our Third Annual Fourth of July Pancake Breakfast to help garner support for community kids. While we have been closed for the summer, we still need continued support for our upcoming after-school program. The club has been facing critical times with the usage of the building, yet we still need to gather funding and look to local help from parents, guardians and children advocates alike.
Our fundraiser will have a bundle of silent auction items: an Anchorage getaway package, including roundtrip air fare with Era, hotel, rental car, spa, food and fun (a $1,200 value); four roundtrip tickets to Seldovia with Rainbow Tours; a handmade quilt; a football autographed by Seattle Seahawks' quarterback Matt Hasselbeck; a Chena Hot Springs stay; Sea Lion Art pieces; a family pass to Alaska Sea Life Center; a Major Marine Tours Cruise and more.
Please come join us for festive good times and support our community's kids. The breakfast will be from 6 a.m.-2 p.m. at the clubhouse on the Sterling Highway.
