Lark Zagory

Jan. 19, 1951-June 25, 2011

Anchor Point resident Lark Zagory, 60, died June 25, 2011, at her home in the company of her brother, Devon, and dear friend, Kate Finn. She had suffered from cancer for many years and her spirit finally had no further use for her body.

Lark was born Jan. 19, 1951, in New York City. She earned a bachelor's degree in music from Sonoma State University in California. She loved music, particularly classical and jazz. She also played the piano and fretless electric bass.

In her youth, she traveled extensively, spending time in Austria, Germany and India and passing through many other countries. She lived in Alaska and loved it for its wildness, its animals and its open spaces. She loved animals, both wild and domestic, and was passionate about their care and protection. She also had a special place in her heart for bunnies.

Lark asked little of life and expected little other than to be part of the wild flow of it. She lived a full and varied life, and always lived strictly on her own terms. We will miss her.

Lark is survived by her brothers, Conrad Jr. and Devon; her sister Kimberly and her father, Conrad Sr.
