SPH sponsors physical exams for student athletes July 23
Student athletes expecting to participate in sports this coming school year will want to mark July 23 on their calendars, as that's the day South Peninsula Hospital is sponsoring Physical Exam Night, a one-night offering of physical exams required by the Alaska School Activities Association.
There is no cost for the event but a $10 donation, to benefit the Booster Club, is requested. All students should bring or wear shorts to the screening. Participants are asked to complete an exam form in advance -- available for download at www.sphosp.com -- and to adhere to the following schedule:
* Students with last names starting in letters A through E should arrive at 6 p.m.
* F-J should arrive at 6:30 p.m.
* K-O should arrive at 7 p.m.
* P-T should arrive at 7:30 p.m.
* U-Z should arrive at 7:45 p.m.
For more information, please contact Derotha Ferraro at South Peninsula Hospital at 235-0397.
