James Mato claimed the $1,000 top prize for June, with the top five places earn prizes. A pair of anglers fishing with Aurora Charters on Monday were red in the face after they each landed fish that were reportedly over 300 pounds. One looked to be close to 400. Neither angler had a derby ticket. Ruth Armstrong remains the overall leader with a 306.4-pounder. July's $10,000 tagged fish is now fair game. Derby tickets are $10 and can be found at many Homer businesses.
