Marianne was born Sept. 23, 1930, in Gary, Ind., the only child of Viorene and Marion (Zahrn) Borg. She was baptized, confirmed and married in the Augsburg Evangelical Lutheran Church in Porter, Ind. Marianne married William LeRoy Beckman on March 11, 1951.
Marianne was preceded in death by her parents, a premature son, close friends and family members.
She is survived by her husband, William Beckman; her children, their spouses and grandchildren, Heather Pancratz and husband Matt and daughter Anna of Homer; Lucianne Boardman and husband Rich and their children Dathan and Tria; Jevin of Chippewa Valley, Wis.; Matthew Beckman and wife Wendy and their children Lindsay, Tyler and Chelsea of Lake Mills; Aleta Wilke and husband Arlie and their children, Melissa and Krista of Lake Mills, Wis.
Visitation and funeral services were held at the Lake Mills Moravian Church on June 19 and 20, 2006, in Lake Mills. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
