Big thanks to parade judges Debra Leisek, Donna Bondioli and Jane Alberts who had a big task reviewing the entries and selecting winners from such an awesome crew of floats. Special thanks to Chris Story for such a wonderful commentary of the parade and hats off to the crew of Bay Realty, especially Scott Connelly, for such great help and support. Tim White, Janet Higley, Jean Stockburger, Terry Myers and Ann Koskovich did a super job orchestrating the parade and many thanks to the Meeker family for the convertible ride for Senator Stevens. Thanks to our local newspapers and radio for spreading the word.

And what's a parade without a band. Thank yo8u to Inlet Winds Community Band and Kar-a-Van Transfer for providing live music for our parade. Thank you, too, to the American Legion, city police, state troopers and Homer Volunteer Fire Department for your support to make this and all of Homer's parades happen. We will see you next year with an even bigger Independence Day Parade and who knows, maybe it will even be on the Fourth of July.
