Homer Glass and Screen has opened at the corner of East End and Kachemak Bay roads. The glass shop, owned by Kelly Matthews, will operate five days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday by appointment. The shop will provide glass services for automobiles and boats as well as home glass needs such as mirrors, showers and tub enclosures. New mortgage program in town
Architect John Prather, a two-year resident of Homer, has recently become a representative for Countrywide Home Loans, a national mortgage loan company. Prather said he has some 33 years experience in banking, construction lending, mortgage banking, title insurance and architecture. Chamber builds brick program
The Homer Chamber of Commerce Visitor Information Center announces an opportunity to participate in the chamber's celebration of its new building and grounds through a buy-a-brick program. Participants can buy a brick to be permanently placed as part of the landscaping project. The bricks will be decoratively incorporated into walkways, patios and flower box seats around the exterior of the center.
