Feb. 10, 1930-March 24, 2009 Longtime Alaska resident and snowbird Rose Katherine (Kay) Kogele, 79, passed away March 24, 2009, in Payson, Ariz. There will be a celebration of her life and a scattering of her ashes at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, from a boat in front of Castaway Park, where the Kogeles parked their motorhome during their many summer visits to Alaska. Castaway Park is located across from Heritage RV Park. A gathering at Don Jose's will follow the celebration of life and scattering of ashes. Boat space is limited. Rose Katherine (Kay) Kogele
Kay is survived by her husband, Otto, who lives in Payson. She was born in Paris, Ark., Feb. 10, 1930. She and Otto lived in Anchorage for many years, before retiring to Arizona.
