Lt. Benjamin F. Strickland II and Lt. Cmdr. Benjamin D. Berg perform a review of the ship’s company before Strickland took command of the USCGC Roanoke Island at ceremonies July 14. Strickland is the former operations officer of the USCGC Midgett of Seattle. Berg, who served as commanding officer of the Roanoke Island since August 2004, has been reassigned as comptroller at the U.S. Coast Guard station in Clearwater, Fla.
