Staff report Homer Police have charged a Homer man in the stabbing Sunday of another man for a dispute over a debt. Police arrested Alen Blatchford, 63, for second-degree assault, a felony. Blatchford remains in custody at Wildwood Pretrial Facility in Kenai. According to charging documents, Sgt. Lary Kuhns said Blatchford and Michael A. Hanno got into an argument over a debt. Hanno had gone to Blatchford's Jenny Lane home late Sunday to talk about paying off a debt he owed him. Kuhns alleged Blatchford stabbed Hanno with a larger kitchen knife on his left side between his ribs and hip. Hanno fell to the floor and Blatchford threw the knife at him, Kuhns said. Blatchford then told Hanno to take off his shirts
