If anyone ever did a reverse rain dance -- one to chase away rain -- it was Saturday's soggy crowd at KBBI's 30th Concert on the Lawn. Whatever they did worked perfectly. Sunday couldn't have been sunnier.

All in all, 1,770 people visited the two-day musical fundraiser held at Karen Hornaday Park. "That was definitely up from last year," said Dorle Harness, KBBI business manager. "We really appreciate all the people who hung in there Saturday and danced during the rain. Sunday was an awesome turnout." Music from the 10 bands on Saturday's schedule and seven on Sunday brought in dancers, picnickers, hulahoopers, Frisbee players, young and old to dance to favorite oldies and some new original soon-to-be-favorite tunes. "Our gross revenue is approximately $20,000," Harness said. Work is already under way for next year's concert, with an eye toward this year's two key components. "There was great energy and great music," Harness said.
