FireWise offers help

The Alaska Division of Forestry's FireWise program offers help to homeowners in removing flammable brush and vegetation from the 100-foot defensible space zone around residences and along driveways. State Forestry workers will help homeowners do a FireWise home assessment. Homeowners also can have neat piles of brush removed.
