Troopers
Information about fire, police and troopers is taken from public records consisting of logbooks and press releases.

Aug. 6

Troopers at 11 a.m. went to a vehicle accident at Mile 151 Sterling Highway near Ninilchik. They allege a 36-year Soldotna man driving a 1994 Toyota truck southbound drove off the road and rolled the vehicle several times. The accident injured him. Troopers suspect alcohol was involved. Investigation is continuing.

Aug. 7

Troopers at 7:34 p.m. received a report that a 16-year-old person was caught with marijuana at a Cook Inlet Tribal Council reforestation camp. Charges were forwarded to juvenile authorities for fourth-degree misconduct, controlled substance.

Aug. 9

An Anchor Point man at 7:37 p.m. reported to troopers that on Aug. 6 someone took numerous pieces of flat and round steel and 2-by-6 boards worth $1,100 total.
