Homer Alaska - Letters

On behalf of the Native Village of Port Graham and the Port Graham Village Council, we would like to thank everyone that contributed to the 10th Annual Celebration of Life, "Paluwik Qilam Nunii - Port Graham, Heaven on Earth."

We would like to thank the following organizations/people who generously donated to this very successful event: Smokey Bay for airline tickets; Gary Brandenberg for judging the Native Cook Off; Homer Air for an airline ticket; Era for a roundtrip ticket from Homer to Anchorage; and Grant Aviation donated an airline ticket; Homer Electric Association, All Season Honda, Chugachmiut (Jan Larson for judging in the Native Cookoff), Chugach Alaska, Variety Store, Port Graham General Store, Port Graham Corporation, CIRI, North Pacific Rim Housing Authority (Randy and Tia for cooking), Cheri Hample of Chugachmiut, Jim Henkelman, St. Herman Orthodox Church, Angela McKinney, Tom Yeaton, and Jim Miller.

Through your wonderful donations and time, we raised $349 for our Emergency Medical Services Team and $540 for the Cancer Fund. The community enjoyed coming together just to celebrate life and honoring our people in the community. Thank you again for taking part in the Celebration of Life and we look forward to next year's celebration.
