Homer Alaska - Letters

I would like to publicly thank Ludwig van Beethoven, Mark Robinson, Laura and Peter Norton, the Kenai Peninsula Orchestra, Kenai Peninsula Community Choir and Homer High Choir, as well as all of the volunteers and audience members that came together to perform Beethoven's 9th Symphony last weekend. I continue to be inspired and astounded by our communities at the end of the road that are made up of such talented, dedicated and beautiful people.

These moments when one person becomes a part of a collective effort to experience something so moving is what life is about. Through this process I reconnected with old friends, made new ones and felt the joy that Beethoven's 9th expresses. I will surely remember this experience forever and I cannot describe the gladness that filled my heart as I sang. I am proud to have helped create this feeling for everyone that participated. Thank you and Freude.
