Anchor Point Senior Center:
Come and join us for a night of fun. Friday night is bingo night. Doors open at 6 p.m. and bingo begins at 7 p.m. Thursday dinner starts at 6 p.m. Cost is $5 for members and $7 for nonmembers.
Anchor Point Library
The summer reading program’s ice cream social will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 9. This is for all participants in the summer reading program. There will be fun, food and awards for all participants.
There will be an adjustment to the library’s normal hours of operation: Aug. 25, 28, and 30 and Sept. 1 and 6, the library will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library will be closed on Labor Day, Sept 4.

The monthly fish fry will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday. The next steak night will be from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 2. Karaoke will follow dinner starting at 9 p.m. Monday night is $1 tacos. You can’t eat just one.

Very proud parents, Donna and R.J. Austin, would like to announce on Aug. 7 that their son, Robert Austin, was promoted to captain in the U.S. Air Force.
Congratulations to Capt. Robert Austin and his family. He is stationed at Lackland Air Force Base located in San Antonio, Texas.
Summer is coming to a close. School is now in session. Welcome back, students and teachers. Hope your first week is grand.
