Aug. 15

A caller at 7:52 a.m. reported an attempted burglary at an East Pioneer address. Police responded.

A caller at 9:08 a.m. reported a firearm missing from a Bartlett Street residence.

A man at 11:15 a.m. reported a person going through vehicles in the Soundview neighborhood.

Numerous vehicles on East Bunnell Street and Beluga Place were given parking warnings.

A caller at 4:20 p.m. reported a burglary at a Rangeview Avenue residence two weeks earlier.

A caller at 4:47 p.m. reported a group of underage people drinking and causing a disturbance at a Svedlund Avenue home with a Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately vehicle leaving the area.

A caller at 9:54 p.m. requested a welfare check on her husband. Police contacted the man and all was OK.

Aug. 16

A caller at 9:45 a.m. reported drug activity on Ben Walters Lane.

A caller at 11:40 a.m. reported a woman told her about two males doing drugs in a pickup truck on Beluga Place.

A caller at 1:35 p.m. reported an ATV and a white truck with an ATV in it driving on a restricted area at Bishop's Beach. Police responded.

A caller at 1:36 p.m. reported an Akita mix dog with a shoulder harness running loose on the Beluga Slough trail. Police tied the dog to a post and notified Animal Control.

A caller in Seldovia at 5:30 p.m. reported a drunk person with a revoked license getting on the ferry to Homer. The driver was arrested for driving with license revoked and no insurance.

A caller at 10:10 p.m. reported she hit a pheasant while driving on Poopdeck Street and that the bird was lying in the road. Police removed the pheasant.

A caller at 10:55 p.m. reported a drunk man loitering in a Bypass parking lot.

Aug. 17

A caller at 4:07 a.m. reported a man refused to get out of a cab, but then did.

A caller at 7:08 a.m. reported a hit and run accident at a West Bunnell Avenue parking lot.

Police received several calls of a loose horse in the upper West Hill area.

A caller at 8:09 a.m. reported a possible vehicle fire on FAA Road. Police determined the car was overheated and emitting steam.

People at 9:15 a.m. reported a camper parked illegally on the Bypass.

A caller at 2:10 p.m. reported vehicles for sale in a vacant lot on West Hill and the Sterling Highway cause a traffic hazard.

Aug. 18

A man at 1:38 a.m. was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

A caller at 7:10 p.m. reported motorcycles driving in a prohibited area on the Spit.

A caller at 7:20 p.m. reported young children unattended in a vehicle parked in a Bypass business parking lot.

A caller at 8:13 p.m. made a 911 call of being forced off the road by another vehicle.

Aug. 19

Police at 4:26 a.m. assisted troopers with a man who refused to get out of a cab. The man returned to his home.

A person at 8 a.m. turned in a cell phone found on Bishop's Beach.

A caller from Arizona at 9:25 a.m. asked for help finding a former business partner regarding a vehicle.

A man at 10:30 a.m. reported his ex-wife opened a credit account in his name.

A man at 3:45 p.m. asked to speak with an officer about custodial issues.

A woman at 8:28 p.m. turned in a credit card she found on Spit Road.

Aug. 20

A man at 12:28 a.m. reported four young people walking in the Hohe Street area. Police responded and arrested a man for violating conditions of release.

A woman at 1:47 a.m. reported a disturbance outside her West Fairview apartment. Police responded and issued a noise complaint warning.

A man at 3:02 a.m. on Pioneer Avenue was arrested for two counts of violating conditions of release.

A man at 11:13 a.m. reported a man threatened him and his son with a knife while they were on the East End Road bike trail.

A caller at 2:30 p.m. reported an ex-employee causing a disturbance and being threatening at an Ocean Drive address. Police responded.

A caller at 5:33 p.m. reported ATVs on private property on Crossman Ridge Road. The caller and ATV operators worked it out.

A caller at 8:09 p.m. reported losing a backpack near the fishing hole on the Spit.

Aug. 21

A caller at 12:59 a.m. reported a noise complaint on Clover Lane. A woman was given a noise complaint warning.

A caller at 1:02 p.m. reported a drunk person acting erratically and bothering customers at an East Pioneer Avenue business. The person was trespassed from the business.

A caller at 2:35 p.m. reported a man refusing to leave a Pioneer Avenue establishment. Police responded and trespassed the man.

A REDDI caller at 6:33 p.m. reported a vehicle speeding, passing in a no-pass zone and weaving on Kachemak Drive and East End Road. Police arrested the driver for DUI.

A woman at 9 p.m. reported half a tank of gas was stolen from her car on Greatland Street.

Aug. 22

Police and medics at 3:23 a.m. responded to a 911 call of an assaulted male on the Sterling Highway.

A caller at 4:24 a.m. reported loud noise at a nearby house in the Bunnell Avenue area. No officers were available at the time of call.
