Donovan Harrison, who taught at Homer High School for 17 years before leaving Alaska in 1985, will be at the Homer Bookstore from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday to sign his books, “Too Soon a Man” and “The Sheriff of Cheyenne.”
The books are set in Western Oklahoma. Harrison also has written “The Birthplace,” a terrorist novel set in Los Alamos, N.M.
He recently completed “Waiting For Breakup,” a humorous novel set in Homer.
The Kenai Peninsula Community Chorus begins rehearsals Sept. 1, 7 to 9 p.m. at the Homer High School chorus room, in preparation for an April concert.For more information, call Laura at 299-2453.
