The 2009 Homer Iron Man Triathlon, a grueling race that features a 1,000-yard swim at the Kate Kuhns Aquatic Center, a 15-mile bike ride up East Hill and down West Hill Road to the Homer Spit and a 5-mile run from the Spit back to the high school, is all set to begin at the pool at 8 a.m. Sept. 5.
