Bob Neubauer and Nancy York

Bob Neubauer and Nancy York celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 2, 2011. They were married in Sacramento, Calif. after having met there at the USO in August of 1959 when Bob was 19 and Nan only 18. Having spent most of their married life in California, they moved to Homer in May 2001, when Bob retired after 36 years with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District. Bob and Nancy have two children, Ingrid Neubauer of Kodiak and Bob Neubauer of Temecula, Calif., and two grandchildren, Michael Dominguez of the U.S. Coast Guard stationed in Petaluma, Calif., and Dallas Dominguez, a freshman at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
