Art buoys return to CACS for award voting, auction viewing

Art from "Drift: Buoys Around the Bay, A Flotsam and Jetsam Art Tour," returns to the Center for Alaskan Studies for silent auction, preview and award voting this Friday. Art can be viewed during regular business hours 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday at the CACS main office on Smokey Bay Way off Lake Street. A live auction is Sept. 8 during the CoastWalk KickOff along with a presentation by Peter Murphy, regional coordinator for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's marine debris program. Proceeds from the auction benefit the artists and CACS.
