Hornaday noted the thousands of hours she has volunteered at the Homer community area at the Homer Food Pantry, and to the state of Alaska, Homer Public Health Center and the Salvation Army. "Juanita provides a shining example of living happily on the earth and freely shares her thoughtful insights and skills in caring for the needs of others," Hornaday said.
