The Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies second annual Otterly Decadent Marine Migration and Lodge Hop is noon-8 p.m. Sept. 11 starting at the Homer harbor. The event continues to Peterson Bay Oyster Lodge, Halibut Cove Wilderness Lodge, Peterson Bay Coastal Science Field Station and the Kachemak Bay Wilderness Lodge for dessert and a live auction. Tickets are $150 a person. Call 235-6667.

The Kachemak Bay Research Reserve Council meets from 1-4:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Seldovia Community Center. Agenda items include a chance for public comment at 1:15 p.m., an overview of research and educational projects and a discussion of future projects.

South Peninsula Hospital and the Alaska Alzheimer's Resource Center of Anchorage sponsor the 2004 Amblin' for Alzheimer's Walk starting at 10 a.m. Sept. 18 at Homer City Hall. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m.
