Homer resident Mr. Oscar Revon "Roy" Foust, 86, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at The Ark of Homer in Homer. Per Roy's request, there will be no services held. His ashes will be scattered in Kachemak Bay at a later date.

The family wrote, "Roy was a devoted husband and father. He loved life and will be missed by all."
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Idella Cook, Eve Hinther and Audry Claycomb, and brother, Robert Foust.
He is survived by his wife, Norma J. Foust of Homer; daughter and son in-law, Theresa and Steven Radisic of Mount Airey, N.C.; grandsons, Brandon and Chad Radisic of Arart, Va.; stepson, Joseph C. Christian of Orange, Mass.; stepdaughters, Sandra K. Borella of Florence, S.C., and Deborah J. Christian of Florence, S.C.; granddaughter Jennifer Christian, great-granddaughter, Makayla Borella, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mr. Foust was born Feb. 1, 1921, to George W. and Drucilla (Waltington) Foust in Bloomington, Ill. After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Marines serving in World War II. He served his country for six years until he was honorably discharged. In July of 1977, Oscar moved to Alaska and became a resident living in Homer. Roy worked for Maritime Helicopters up until he retired. He was a member of the Homer Elks Lodge and the Homer American Legion.
