Jeff Lang of Australia performs at Duggan’s Waterfront Pub at 7 p.m. Sept. 14. Lang has appeared on A Prairie Home Companion, Mountain Stage and Acoustic Café, and toured with Ani Di Franco, Chris Whitley and Bob Dylan. With Lang is special guest Buddy Tabor. Tabor will give a solo performance on Sept. 14 at a location to be announced soon.
Bunnell presents concert
Bunnell Street Gallery will present a special concert at 7 p.m. Sept. 16, featuring Heidi Senungetuk, violin; Juliana Osinchuk, piano; and Steven Alvarez, percussion.
Senungetuk is a Homer resident who regularly performs at Bunnell and teaches privately. Juliana is from Anchorage and has performed at Bunnell for numerous years. Heidi and Juliana will collaborate in works by Maurice Ravel and Alfred Schnittke. Steven Alvarez, based in Anchorage, is a recent Nammy Award winner (Native American Music Awards) and will perform “Cheyenne Anthem,” as well as an Anthony Cirone Sonata for percussion, violin and piano.
Tickets are $25 general, $22 gallery members, children free by reservation only when accompanied by ticketed adult.
