Pet of the Week
This “Daisy” doesn’t belong in a flower garden. She belongs with a family who will love her for the flower she isn’t and the dog that she is. Daisy is a 1-year-old pit bull mix who knows her basic commands, and who plays well with others. She is spayed, has her vaccinations and likes to go for rides. She even knows how to slap the bell on the door when she needs to go outside. Unfortunately, the other dog at her old home didn’t like her — even though she let it be the boss — and she is looking for a new place to call home. This happy, playful and very friendly Daisy is waiting at the Homer Animal Shelter for someone to pick her.
If you’d like to adopt a pet, call or stop by the Animal Shelter across from Public Works off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open Tuesday-Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. Call 235-3141 for more information.
