Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies

The 2011 CoastWalk Kick-Off Reception will be held at the renovated CACS headquarters building at 6 p.m. today. The theme is "Plastics in Motion" and will feature a recycled circus. Come to workshops beginning at 4:30 p.m. to take part in the show. All are invited to this fun, informative event.

On Friday, help clear out the CACS yurt on the Spit.

CACS partners with Homer Council on the Arts for a Writer's Refuge at Peterson Bay Sept. 23-25. Visit homerart.org/calendar/events/writers-refuge-retreat/
