Homer Spit opens to snagging

All other regulations pertaining to this fishery remain in effect. These include the daily bag limit of six silver salmon of any size. A fish counts toward the bag limit of the person originally hooking it.

Snagging is permitted to harvest the remaining hatchery produced silver salmon in the Fishing Hole.

The Homer Spit enhancement area includes the waters from the Homer City Dock northwest along the east side fo the Homer Spit to the department marker approximately 200 yards northwest of the entrance to the Fishing Hole, including the Fishing Hole, and out 300 feet from the shore.
