Staffing: Voznesenka moved from a full-time to part-time administrator this year and lost one teacher for a total of seven regular-education instructors. There also is a full-time special education teacher, 1.26 special education aides and 2.64 other aides. The school shares a nurse, but has a full-time secretary and full-time custodian. The teaching staff at the school has a combined average of 8.75 years experience with the district.
Cocurricular: Voznesenka has a limited intramural sports program and recently started a wrestling program for students.
Demographics: All Voznesenka students are Caucasian, most of Russian Old Believer descent. Almost all students come to school speaking Russian or some Portuguese as a primary language, and the school operates an intensive bilingual program. About 64 percent of the students remain identified as limited English speakers. About 63 percent of the students come from economically disadvantaged homes, and 13 percent experience disabilities.
